Mikuniya Soba Restaurant

Mikuniya is a must if you visit Kusatsu. Located next to the yubatake (hot spring fields), this soba restaurant not only has an attractive exterior, it also serves wonderfully scented soba made from freshly ground buckwheat. Using snowmelt from nearby Mt. Kusatsu-Shirane, the soba here is served in heaps. The smallest portion is 2.5 servings, so we recommended that you share. This will probably be one of your most memorable moments in Kusatsu!
