Time Travel on the Kumano River

For over 1,000 years, pilgrims from all walks have travelled the Kumano Kodo Pilgrimage Route. For the section between the Hongu and Hayatama Grand Shrines, pilgrims often travelled by boat on the Kumano River. Travel back in time, and go the way pilgrims did for centuries on traditional wooden boats, or go the modern way and travel by canoe.
