Odawara Castle

Built in 1447, Odawara Castle changed hands many times through many different clans, and is now one of the top 100 castles in Japan. The wide, foreboding moat that surrounds the castle and grounds highlights just how protected those who rested within the castle walls were. Samurai costume-actors wander the inner-grounds, bringing a feeling of authenticity to the age, and a few comedy performances to keep you entertained.
