Boat Cruises

One of the best ways to enjoy the bay is by boat. Several companies offer cruises that start and end at Matsushima, while others connect Matsushima with nearby Shiogama. Longer cruises will get you to the more remote Oku-Matsushima, where you’ll be treated to a panoramic view of the bay. On most cruises, you’ll see floating oyster farms and get the chance to feed the seagulls chasing your boat at full speed. The trips last between half an hour to an hour and depart frequently from the main terminal.
