Nasu locals joke that there are more cows here than people. The dairy farmers at Shinrin-no-Bokujo (Farm in the Forest) let their cows graze outdoors, which is rare in this industry. Visitors can play with the calves, enjoy the art gallery, or savor freshly made milk, yogurt and ice cream in the café.
