NakaIzu Winery Chateau T.S

This delightful winery is located just 15 minutes from Shuzenji station. Here you can enjoy wine created with grapes grown in the natural beauty of the local area. You don’t need to stay at the Chateau to participate in the 1-hour tour of the winery, allowing you access to the distillery, collection area and wine cellar accompanied by a friendy guide. Popular with visitors are the Opus One and Phylloxera wines. Surrounding the buildings are vast vineyards reminiscent of those in Burgundy or Bordeaux. The style of fence here is particularly unique, and the vineyards feature of rich variety of grape; Chardonnay and Cabernet Sauvignon to more local, Japanese breeds such as Riesling Shinano and Mountain Sauvignon.
