The Rolling Hills of Biei

Biei is no stranger to hills. In fact what attracts most people to visit this charming town are the rolling hills filled with flowers, greenery and agriculture. These have been the backdrop to many Japanese commercials and TV programmes. One such famous hill is the Mild Seven Hill- named after the tobacco product it was used to advertise. The infamous straight row of trees stand proudly at the top of an incline. If that doesn’t tickle your fancy, Hokusei Hills Observatory presents a lone tower, from which to take in a 360-degree view of the Biei countryside.
